Binaural Beats @ 35Hz

Gamma waves are present when we have integrated thoughts and are involved in high- level information processing, or “binding” ("binding" refers to the integration of highly diverse neural information in the forming of one's cohesive experience). It is also very localised in the brain and happens simultaneously.

This track’s theme is more discordant in nature, mainly due to the fact that the binaural frequency is 35Hz which causes a disharmony (especially in the bass frequencies). However, this effect is quite fitting for the state of the brain. Several arpeggiators were used playing different bars lengths to recreate this effect. The main binaural bass is in 4/4, then arpeggiators and polyrhythms in 7/8 and 10/8. There is also layers of glitching style sounds to emulate the fast processing and flicking between tasks in the brain. These weave in and out and come together and drift apart throughout the track.
